More deer moving last night than all the nights I've hunted combined, but didn't connect. Mind wasn't "in the game," and made a handful of rookie mistakes – it's all good, though. Probably saw 50 does and two bucks, including a high-racked 8-pointer chasing a doe like it was the first week of November. We'll have to keep an eye out for him over the next few days.
Milder temperatures have put game on the move. Half a dozen flights of Canadas last night; hadn't been seeing anything in terms of ducks or geese for the past couple weeks. Heard several grey squirrels barking – again, hadn't heard many of those in the past few days. Even saw a small flock of robins. Is Spring right around the corner?
