We didn't realize that a state would need to ban the use of tasers for hunting, either, but Alaska did just that. People have been using stun guns to practice "catch and release" hunting. They tase a big game animal, take a picture with it, and run away before it wakes up and mames them.
Evidently Stephen Colbert found it just as funny as we did, and featured it on the Colbert Report.
