New York City is known for being notoriously unfriendly for gun owners, but the Second Amendment Foundation is trying to ease the burden of having a handgun in your home.
The SAF is suing Mayor Michael Bloomberg over the $340 price tag that the Big Apple puts on the permit needed to have a pistol in your home. The Foundation is claims that the fee is only used as a deterent, and that it "excessive and impermissibly burdens the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms."
In the rest of New York state, this permit costs $10.
Sounds like they have a case to me.
