Awesome Pheasant Hunting Photos from Garden & Gun

Pheasant hunting can provide some of the most beautiful backdrops in all of hunting.

One of the states the doesn't get enough credit as a great pheasant hunting destination is Montana. Sid Evans, editor of Garden & Gun magazine, and a group of friends that included Dusan Smetana, famous outdoor photographer; Matt Hogan, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Assistant Regional Director for Migratory Birds and State Programs for the Mountain-Prairie Region, and George Cooper, board of directors member and past-president of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership.

Dusan had his camera along on the trip and took some beautiful pictures, some of the best images that I've ever seen of ringnecks.

Sid recently posted some of the photos on Garden & Gun's newly launched The Sporting South blog. He also gives some advice for anyone who wants to experience the same hunt with a group of friends: rent a house and hire Native American hunting guides!

Check out all of the photos here.
