At the SHOT Show this year, there was one time when a real crowd gathered around a booth. It was when Bear Grylls was in the Gerber booth. And it sounds like Mr. Grylls will have some more time for public appearances.
The Discovery Channel fired Grylls from his popular Man vs. Wild show, citing that there was a "continuing contractual dispute." Grylls has been the host of Man vs. Wild since 2006, and paved the way for all outdoor reality shows.
According to his publicist, “Bear’s goal has always been to make life-empowering shows for his many fans around the globe, and he has taken great risks to bring Discovery such award winning programming over seven seasons.”
All current productions with Grylls have been terminated and it is unclear where the survivor will go next.–Brian McClintock
