Judge Tosses Out Lawsuit to Prevent Doctor from Shooting Machine Guns on Private Range

Judge Tosses Out Lawsuit to Prevent Doctor from Shooting Machine Guns on Private Range by GoHUNTn TeamDr. Michael Land's neighbors were not too happy with his homemade shooting range in his backyard. They were even more upset that he was shooting legally owned machine guns at the range.

They took Dr. Land too court to get him to stop shooting on his own property, but Judge Mark Klass was not hearing it.

Judge Klass tossed out their lawsuit against Dr. Land. According to the Charlotte Observer, "he has taken many precautions to make his range safe. To stop the bullets, he brought in dirt, sand and railroad ties to create a 12-foot-high berm."

The range is in full compliance with the NRA. But the neighbors are arguing "Land's gunfire made it hard for them to sell their homes, sleep soundly or hold Bible study sessions. The plaintiffs had sought an injunction to stop all shooting on Land's property."
