Trend in Female in Hunters Continues to Rise

Trend in Female in Hunters Continues to Rise by GoHUNTn TeamWomen have long-been a bright spot in hunter participation numbers. More women are hitting the woods, as the number of men continue to decline.
This trend is extremely prevalent in the northern Rockies states–Idaho, Montana, Wyoming–where agencies are actively recruiting female hunters. According to Yahoo, "females in 2010 made up 19.5 percent of all Idaho residents applying for hunting licenses, a 10-year high. In Montana last year, women accounted for 14 percent of hunters. That compared to a national average of 9 percent."

The numbers are growing in every age group. Let's hope it continues to grow. –Brian McClintock

This 11-year-old is definitely one of the prime examples of great female hunters.
