It appears that hunting boots are the next victims of fashion.
L.L. Bean's duck boot, which has been around for more than 100 years, is now a college fashion statement.
No one is exactly sure how it became so trendy to wear the boot, but Time Magazine reports that sales have escalated from 150,000 pairs four years ago to 500,000 pairs in 2012.
The classic look is being tailored to fit trendy college students' needs and are currently available with new fabrics and pink and blue exterior coloring. Nothing says "take me seriously" to a professor like pink duck hunting boots with rhinestones. -Robert Frawley
