It's August, which means that there are hunting seasons about to open throughout the U.S.
In Florida, the alligator season opens on August 15, and Destin.com is reporting that there are some monster gators for the taking.
There will be an estimated 7,500 alligators harvested during the 11-week season, which hardly puts a dent in the 1.3 million there are in the Sunshine State.
As the big monsters come to the weigh stations, we'll keep you posted. –Brian McClintock
