Idaho Begins Gray Wolf Battle

Since being delisted from the Endangered Species List earlier this year, Idaho residents have wasted no time in managing their gray wolf herd. Including some great anti-gray wolf propaganda, reports NPR.

The Idaho Fish and Game has already sent helicopters to areas to shoot wolves that are killing off too many elk. For years, gray wolves have been attacking residents’ livestock, hunting dogs, and elk. Residents hope that by being delisted the wolf will be treated like any other big game animal, and by hunting them Idaho will be able to have control over the wolf population.

Their hunting season is planned to get underway this fall.
