Brandon Arnold and his friends headed to the Verde River in Arizona for a camping excursion with Arnold’s 3-year-old black lab mix, Apollo, when a rabid mountain lion decided to attack.
The big cat jumped out and grabbed Apollo taking him into some nearby bushes. So, Arnold grabbed the first thing he could find to save his dog, a big cast iron skillet. He nailed the cat with two blows, knocking it out, and his friend came and shot the mountain lion. Thankfully, Apollo is recovering nicely. –Brian McClintock
