Man Goes to Extreme Lengths to Sooth German Shepherd

John Unger credits his 19-year-old German shepherd, Schoep, with saving his life. So, Unger is making every effort to ensure that Schoep has a long, full life. But, at 19, the dog is suffering from arthritis and is blind. But, Unger isn’t discouraged. He takes his loyal companion to Lake Superior and floats in the water with him until he falls asleep. –Brian McClintock
