A Religious Waterfowl Experience

After spending a few days in DC, I took my pup Boru out for his evening constitutional down to the cornfields and creeks behind our house last night. As soon as I opened the doors, it sounded like gale-force winds where billowing, only there was only the slightest of breeze.

Then, when I got down to the creeks, I saw why. I've been in some awesome waterfowl situations, but I have never seen anything like this. Thousands upon thousands of birds. Snow geese, Canada geese, black ducks, flocks and flocks of them.

It was awesome! I actually ran back to the house to get the camera to take these pictures. Today, I got my free snow goose conservation permit! I can hunt these white honkers through April 16!
