My New Toy: Diamond Air Raid!

I have slowly been adding to my hunting repertoire, but archery was the last segment of hunting for me tackle.
Seemingly, every year I buy something new to hunt with. I bought a nice Remington 870 with a walnut stock in 2008. Last year, I bought my new hunting buddy, Boru. This year, it had to be a bow

Archery has been something that my family has never done. My grandfather had an old recurve bow that we would play with when we were little, but that was about it. We always enjoyed waterfowl and fall turkey hunting, which conflict with archery seasons.

It wasn't until my sister married a bow hunter that we started thinking that we might want to start archery hunting. We bought my father a bow for Father's Day two years ago, and watching him and Ben hunt whitetails for weeks and weeks and weeks, and me get a few short days in the woods was just too much for me to handle.

The bow I settled on, with consultation from my brother-in-law, was the Diamond Air Raid package, a special for Bass Pro Shops. Diamond by Bow Tech is one of the most reputable brand of bows on the market, and I've had a chance to shoot a few over the past few years. This package was a great deal, including a quiver, a 3-pin sight, a peep-sight, arrow rest, and more.

Now on to getting my draw length and getting this puppy set up!!
